The TDA7000 FM radio IC is obsolete and has not been made for 7 years. When it was made for 20 years its performance was awful.
The TDA7088 “scanning FM radio IC” is made today and is sold in a poorly performing FM radio sold for only $1.00 at The Dollar Store and is frequently given for free when you subscribe to a newspaper.
