7-segments display using LED!

hello people of electronic lab... Im new with this electronic stuff. Can anyone help me about 7 segments display using LED... with the word running or chasing goes like this LABORATORY 1... thanks a lot...

thanks for the reply... anyways, is it possible to add another dot-matrix led because the size of my project is 8x60. how many possible dot-matrix led can be added to this size?? http://home.wanadoo.nl/electro1/avr/dotmatrix.htm i found something useful on the net can i used this diagram and add the additional leds'?? thanks

Why even bother with the other chip? It is only saving you one port pin on the 2313. You could code these lines as well and save the cost of a chip and save board space. You are just sending ones and zeros to the port pins.

Of course, if you use more than one array, you will be short a few pins. In that case, there is the AT90S8515 with 4 ports (32 port pins).
