I have noticed lately that all my free samples from Maxim have been very small surface mount rather than pdip. Anyone else getting this? Sure makes for hard prototyping.

Thanks for the sharing. However, I tried to order but most of the companies are not entertained to students like me. Any chances to get some demo boards or buy with huge discounts?

Thanks,

Lol we are ranking companies offering free samples??? I love this place. Oh yes my vote goes to TI as well, no one can beat their samples program. I have completed full projects with their samples some times.
