I have two of these units to use the chassis and other components to build a tube power amp. I want to also use the power transformer. The unit uses a mallory g1501 12v vibrator. for some reason i believe that the power transformer is not a high voltage unit. why is a vibrator used when there is an AC input. is the transformer HV or is the hv gennrtated using this vibrator and why? yero
