Small audio playback device.

Hi,

I've looked on the front page and not found anything suitable for a few projects that I have planned in the near future. I was wondering if someone with  more experience than me could possibly advice me on a suitable device that would suit my needs.

I would like to modify an electronic device with 9v power supply, the intentions are that when you turn the device on I can have a small audio file play. About 20 seconds max. This device would need to be small to fit inside,

so

Turn device on.
new component plays audio and when it finishes goes into standby.
turn device off.
turn device on audio plays again.


I hope that makes sense lol, I found a device on the front page that may be suitable but not sure if it can be modified or simplified for this task. I only need to record on to it once.
