Mike,
Thank you for sharing your code and knowledge. I merged it with code from “https://www.thecoderscorner.com/electronics/microcontrollers/switches-inputs/wifi-kit-8-pinout-wrong-silkscreen/”
to use with a module form Heltek, WiFi Kit 8. Also labeled Deek-Robot W8266. Between the code you shared and the tips and code from TCC, I have a neat little WiFi dbm meter to use around the house to locate “dead” spots.
