LED Based Strobe For Entertainment, Events & Warning Signals

Strobe provides regular flashes of light. Usually Strobes are designed using Xenon Tubes. Here is LED based simple solution that can be used as strobe for entertainment and events and also as warning signals. Project is based on PIC16F1825 micro-controller with two digit frequency display.

Project provides TTL output signal, frequency 1Hz-25Hz, Tact switches provided to set the frequency.

This project works along with DC Output Solid State Relay

The projects shown here is a 2 Digit 00-99 Seconds or 00-99 Minutes Countdown kitchen timer based on PIC16F1825 micro-controller. The timer is useful in various applications like Cooking, Sports, Industrial, Sleeping. On board switches provided to set the time and start, a jumper to select the mode 99 Seconds or 99 Minutes. TTL output directly drives the Buzzer.

This digital temperature meter provides real-time temperature values from 00 to 99 degrees Celsius. The Temperature Monitor project built using PIC16F1825 Microcontroller from Microchip, CAT4016 serial to display driver IC from ON-Semiconductor, DS18200 Temperature sensor and two 7 Segment common anode 0.5 Inch display. This little handy project consumes low current and can be work with 4.5 V batteries, intensity of the display can be change by replacing value of R1, read Cat4016 data sheet for more information about current setting. Display range 00 to 99 degree Centigrade.

The Two Digit UP Counter project built using PIC16F1825 Microcontroller from Microchip, CAT4016 serial to display driver IC from ON-Semiconductor and two 7 Segment common anode 0.5 Inch display. Project works using two switches S3 and S2, third switch has no use. When switch S3 is pressed it increments the count on display by one and S2 provides the reset function, This little handy project consumes low current and can be work with 4.5 V battery, intensity of the display can be change by replacing value of R1, read Cat4016 data sheet for more information about current setting. Display range 00 to 99. This project can be used in various applications like product counter, score board, object counter, vehicle counter.

Sjaak has published a new PCB build, uC controlled dummy load:

With no snow outside I finally got around to solder the 3rd PCB. It is the second revision of a microcontroller dummy load. It is loosely based on the arachnidlabs uc:load. It uses the same base ciruit and adds a microcontroller (PIC16F1825), rotary encode switch, external powersupply and offcourse a 128×32 OLED.
