  1. Hi. The switch IC is also suspicius to me, is a TA1218AN and there is also a chip called TC90A49AP wich is a "video enhancement" chip. Does anyone have a service manual to this TV? Thank You.
  2. Hi. Does anybody have this service manual. This TV is not selecting inputs (i guess), the only thing it shows is a blue screen, doesn
  3. Hi KMoffet, Yes, you are right, the corrosion factor is present. But, consider this: 14V/100KOhm equals 140uA. With inox steel (sorry for not mentioning that before) corrosion at that current level is not really a trouble. The maintenance of the rods (cleaning with sandpaper or acid) is done every 18 to 24 months, I think is totally cost effective. When I had the oportunity to clean it, the rods were mostly covered of magnesia salts deposits like the ones present on tank's wall waterline. Makes sense AC sensing, the sinewave won't be always its peak value and the RMS shall be considered t
  4. Hi Here is a simple circuit i took from a genius that published it on the web with no ref. , i mean genius because he used the 555 in a really intresting way the circuit uses the treshold and trigger inputs of the 555 because inside the ic are two comparators configured as a window comparator driving a flip flop. r1 and r2 are biasing the rods, when water touches them the voltage on the rod drops dramattically. The only adition i made is the capacitors on the input to avoid some noise, a relay drive capability and a power supply. i made this circuit like 4 times and is a charm. the voltage re
  5. Hello Pier. Charging a battery can be tricky, but as a rule of thumb standard charge of a battery is achieved with a constant current of a 10% of battery full capacity to its +20% of nominal voltage. Example: a 12V battery of 36A is charged with 3.6A until it reaches 14.4V. So, you will need basically two things: a current limiter (your 317, by the way it could be even a light bulb) to set a constant current, and a voltage comparator to stop the charge process when the battery has reached its nominal voltage plus 20%.
  6. I live in Cuba, so is very hard for me to get information. Ladies and Gentelmen P L E A S E help me by sending me all the tv service mode codes you estimate I should know. I´m a student and hobbyst. Thank you a lot :) my mail is tontrack@latinmail.com
