  1. add "target 3001 V12" to your list. I tried alot of demos and this is my favourite. do a websearch for the above and download the pin limited full working demo and try it for yourself. you will see that it not to expensive to buy the lite version. They claim its used by the Toyota F1 racing team, so it can't be to bad. 8)
  2. Do a web search for "Target 3001 v12" and download the program. It takes time to learn but the longer you use it the more you will like it. there's a pin limited full working demo and thats what I use. I tried over 10 different demos and this is the one I'll keep using. It even has regular updates. :-*
  3. Hello ECETOpurdue, I've tried to find a freeware program to draw schematic for months but can only find PCB programs that allow you to draw a schematic. Years ago my father brought a program called "Autosketch" for windows 3.1 and what I did was draw each component I needed and save them on the side of a page I then used as a template. Even though the program still works on Windows XP I can't get it to print properly will my new printer and that's why I been searching for the same type of program as you. I finally gave up and started trying different PCB programs so that I could draw my Schematics. I now use and recommend "Target 3001 v12" with is available for free as a pin limited full working demo which you can print out your schematics. A quick web search will get you to the site to download a copy. It will ask you to enter your email address but I have found that if you just click the links without entering any details, it still lets you download the program. You will need to download the user manual separately but its worth it. Good Luck!! :D
  4. Hello Mark, I live in Australia where a high percentage of people still have TV antennas and watch free to air TV. I have change over to Digital free to air in the last 2 months because I was told that if you have bad reception Digital would be the magic fix you need. I would like to say "What a Load of Crap!!" As Digital is just as hard to get as Analog, even harder at times. The reason I bring up this story is that I live 80-90 Kms away from the TV transmitters in a small town and have spent the last 2 months in the shed and on the roof of my house experimenting with Yagi Antenna designs and only finished the final design today. What I have learnt about antennas over the last 2 months is amazing. Compared to Audio electronics, RF electronics is a whole different world. To me it is amazing that a piece of tube cut to the right length and placed near a couple other tubes can generate and transfer enough energy to make the difference between having no Picture and perfect reception. To make an antenna is not that hard. What I would do is go buy a ready made antenna from you local hardware shop with a boom Length of no less than 2000mm pull it apart and with the link to a online Yagi program that lets you enter the frequency you want etc designs a antenna straight away. all you have to do is print out the design, transfer the details to to the boom, cut the elements to length and put it all back together and you now have an antenna that will give you a starting point to getting good reception. 5. Hello, Download "Target 3001" version 12 Demo, its free! This Program takes time to learn, but as you go along learning to use it, your discover all the things it can do. Try it, Learn it then enjoy! :o
  6. Hello, I have tried all the PCB, Schematic Programs listed on this forum and the one that is growing on me is "Target 3001" Version 12. This program comes in a 100 pin limit free version. You can make a PCB A4 size if you want to as long as you don't go over the 100 pin limit. I hear the Eagle has a limit to the size of the board you can do as well as the pin limit. I recommend you do a web search for it as it is easy to find. It take a while to get use to but I think it's worth it. It's a 25 Megabit download and you also have to download the Manual (5 megabits) as well. ;D
