  2. I dont know how the other guys do it. But you can find some books by using a p2p program such as emule. You can also search the bittorrent network. You can search for edonkey/emule files here http://www.filehash.com/edonkey Once you've what you are looking for, open the ed2k link with emule. http://www.emule-project.net/home/perl/general.cgi?l=1 Note: you can also search the emule/kad network directly from the emule program. There are probably other ways to obtain these books that I'm not aware of.

  4. Virtual components allow you to set their parameters to any value you like — even if you could not actually find a part with those values in real life. Great for illustrating theoretical concepts.

  7. I think I figured it out. I will have to use a 555 timer to generate the clock pluse. I will also need a POT to adjust the resistance and that would change the frequency of the pluse.
  8. Hey guys, I'm trying to design a counter using FF in multisim. I know that I clock signal must come along to for any change to occur in the circuit (I'm forgetting about CLEAR and PRESET for now). What should I use as the souce of the clock in multisim? And another question, what exactly is the source of a clock signal (in a real circuit)? If I open an close a switch, does that create a clock pluse (square wave) that an operate the FF? --thank you. 8)

  10. Thanks for the link Shahriar. It seems they have integrated the emitter and receiver circuits. All what this circuit does is detect an object as it moves toward it, in this case the car right? If thats so, then this circuit would do just fine for experimental purposes. A vehicle is relatively wide though. Would it detect a person just as good as the car?
  11. So without the latch, the output would not remain high when its activated right? What kind of latch do you recommend. Probably a NOR latch?
  12. I was just asking if its possible. Mayb it would just be easier to build one circuit instead of two...or did I miss something.
  13. I'm trying to buld this Left = transmitter Right = receiver This circuit has a transmitter and a receiver. So from what I understand, the interruption in a modulated pulsating beam that is transmitted by an infrared diode and received by an infrared transistor sets off the alarm. So what I am looking at is two different circuits. Can't these two be integrated into one circuit? So I absolutely must have the circuit with the Photodiode right? If they cant be integrated, how must the receiver be placed with respect to the transmitter? What are some uses of a Phototransistor? --thank you 8)

  16. Hello, I need help with building a motion sensor. Nothing fancy, just something simple that I can learn from. If anyone can tell me the parts that I need and how to build it, I would appreciate it. Or you could just point me in the direction of the nearest tutorial, that would be cool. --thank you. 8)
