I think you did not understand me -
Your solution tells me to lead one twisted-pair cable to each phone. If I get it right, we're talking of 50x2wires = 100wires through the building walls.
My idea was that all the intercom stations, phones, are in parrallel connection to same bus which has for example 2 wires (data & gnd). A code would be sent through the data line to all phones, but only one should respond. -
I think I can build a circuit for you, but it would be easier if you could tell me what's the purpose of it, so I could think of the design. I understood that you need A/V switch which could select between two A/V sources, than amplify selected source and divide it to two outputs? If it' correct, I have a circuit for you - but I really don't understand why it has to be controlled over PC's serial port - it is much simpler to control it over parallel port, or manually by push-button switch on the device.
If you're interested, post.

Hello guys;
I am thinking of designing and building an intercom device which will have about 50 lines available (50 apartmants in a building), which could be called from one place - and that calling is what bothers me most. I was thinking if it's possible to use just one wire (and GND) for calling. For example, every apartmant could have a circuit which responds on specific binary or DTMF code, but I have no idea how to send the code over one wire, with a push of only one button on the "calling board" which is placed on the entry door of the building.The calling board should have one push-button-switch for each apartmant.
So- I need some design ideas from you guys...HELP! -
There is ofcourse a solution. Open any of the scripts you have in eagle, and you'll see some instructions there, for example open euro.scr and you'll see a line like this:
Layer Dimension;
Wire 0 (0 0) (160 100) (0 0);
this thing (160 100) is in fact dimension of the board in milimeters - EURO format 160x100mm. All you have to do is change that numbers and write your desired values, save the .scr file and in board editor go to File/script... and run that file!
That's it-the way I do it... -
check it out...think it'll help [attachment deleted by admin]

I have an old monitor MEDION MD1772, 17". And I'm convinced it is in good shape, so I'm trying to use it as a secondary monitor. The problem is that someone took off the inside connector and cut it. It is the connector from which monitor gets H-sync, V-sync and ID0-ID2 data. RGB connector is still there, but instead of this one I'm talking about there are only bare wires. And I have no idea how to connect them from the cable to the board.
Any help? Schematic diagram of the monitor, inside picture of connected one, anything! And - thanx... -
No, it's not a fan from the computer, it's actualy twice as big and it blows really good. It's PAPST cooler, you might heard of those... Hello, audioguru, we're waiting for you... Will I get an answer to my question?

Damn, I hope this one that I have will be big enough... I'm putting a NTC controlled cooling fan, so I think I'm doing right....
It will work, but, yes, it will deliver much less power!)

How much less power? Can we calculate that? -
Oh my God.... look at this message!!!!
HERE IT IS HOW IT SHOUD LOOK:
I like the retros... I'm building this amp 'cause I want to use it in my combo guitar amp project... I don't know, I looked at the written characteristics of the amp and it looked very, very nice to me... If I'm wrong with this, I will be very, very dissapointed
BTW, I know that the transformer SHOULD be 2x28V/8Amps, my question was WHAT WILL HAPPEN when I put this one that I have? I think that the electrolytics will raise the voltage to about 35-38V... Will it provide less power or what?
And, I do have ST Micro transistors. They'll work fine, I think... -

Undecided

P.S. did anyone of you guys actually finished the amp? iS pcb CORRECT OR NOT? How does it work, huh?

The last letter is the voltage! ;)
I know that the last letter is the voltage, but I wonder what would happen if I put my BDW83 & 84 "C" version? I'm about to finish the project soon, and I plan to put these transistors...what do you propose?
Also, do you think that it will be enough if I put transformer which has 2x23V in the secondary and use it with the electrolyth capacitors 3x4700mF/63V = 14100mF for (+) and 14100mF for (-) voltage?
Thanks. -
Huh...guys...I'm having a dilemma here...I'm building a 8Ohm version, so I was wondering what about the R3,4,17 and 23 - I don't put them, right? Insead of them, do I connect the pins where they shoud be? I short them?
And what is that about BDW83 & 84"C" instead of "D"? What will happen? Because I've got the same problem... I bought the "C" version.
Please reply and...thanks!!!
digital video

Hi there boyz & girlz (anyone seen a girl here, EVER?)
Do you have any idea how to build a transmitter that will send digital data - actually, digital video or audio - so there could be no losses in picture or sound quality through the transmission system? How could I use sattelite receiver as a receiver?
So, the transmitter itself is to be on high freq., and it's not such a problem, problem is the data. How could I get digital data from the computer, which output port can I use? I'm not familiar with the digital out from the sound card, what's it's protocol - same question is for video....Is it possible to send it through the LAN card? And how to decode it on the other side - on the receiver?
It seems that I'm talking about the digital A/V link, which I saw it is very VERY expensive.... how do they do it? Is it possible to build such thing in "DIY", like all of us here do...?
Brainstorming is open.
