Hi, I just bought a L298n a bipolar stepper motor I which is 15 pins IC. May I know how do I find its IC socket because I can't find this IC socket and just modify a 18 pin IC socket. It is not so good because it is easy short circuit if modify with this way. May I know has anyone has an idea or has seen this socket before? Can you please tell me? Thanks. ;)

I just get a stepper motor from my old printer and plan to use it but I do not know its connection. Does anyone has its data sheet? I guess it is a bipolar stepper motor because it has only 4 wires. My stepper motor information is as below:-

Can I use 2 phase H bridge driver (M3479-P) to drive an 4 phase bipolar stepper motor (M42SP-7)? It is because I cannot find a 4 phase H bridge drive. Do you have any idea? Thanks. :)

The H bridge IC will burn out very quickly if the motor draws more current than the IC's current rating.

Recently I have read a Simple DC motor PWN speed control circuit from

Inside the article and below the word of important, there have mention that "the drain (or collector) current must be equal to maximum motor current (at power supply voltage, when it is blocked)". May I know what is mean by maximum motor current? Can I check it from the data sheet (Which part of a data sheet, can you please guide me?) or measure from the 12V DC motor. Thanks for your kind help :D -
As Tedyp said, you don't have to limit yourself to IR if the interior of the coin drop area is adequately shielded from exterior light, although IR would work fine.
Do you have to detect coins of many sizes, or just one size? -
I'm a conveyor belt newbies. I plan to construct a 60cm conveyor belt which would use to transfer a a glass of water. May I know what material do I need to use and how do I construct this conveyor belt? Can I construct this with my recycle printer? Because I really interested to build a conveyor belt but I do not have much budget. Thank you first for your kind help. :)

I need a vibration motor but I cannot find it. May I know can I modify a DC motor or stepper motor to be a vibration motor? If it is possible, how do I modify it? Thanks. :D

Thanks for all the elctronic experts kindly reply. Actually I need to build a conveyor belt with a dc motor which will only work in one direction and the conveyor belt speed is optimum to avoid spill a drop and only 1 glass per time. I plan to use PIC (a microcontroller) to stop the conveyor belt after the glass reach the destination. Actually I only an electronic newsbies therefore I do not know how to build a driver to drive the motor further more the motor type (12V or other voltage) is also a problem for me. Do you know what kind of material can I use to build the conveyor belt? Can you give me some precious idea?
