yeah. 500mA is fine for me. I'm using this primarily for charging batteries overnight, so time isn't a concern. the chip can charge up to 2 batteries at once, but the circuit in the datasheet, i'm not sure if it could handle it.

Want to create a small NIMH battery charger using usb power. looking to use the maxim ds2712 using this schematic. anyone have any suggestions/input
