  1. hello, I have no idea if I'm in the right place but I need help.... I have a DC motor, that powered a treadmill, I'm using it to power a device I had built. I needed to be able to plug it in, and I needed to be able to vary the speed so we kept it connected to the computer board from the treadmill. The problem is, the computer board is designed to 1. not allow the motor to get to full speed and 2. shut off if there is a problem. Because of this, my device is not working properly and I will have to disconnect it from the treadmill computer board. So....I still have this DC motor that I need to use, I would like to be able to 1. plug it into an outlet and 2. vary the speed of the motor. My main question is, is there a device that will convert this DC motor so that I can plug it in?
