  1. Hi I suppose so, dont it do that for you? If so, the IC is surely damaged! //Staigen
  2. Hi Audioguru Hehe, not that old, theres a digital family called RTL, hehehe
  3. Hi both of you How was it with the old RTL digital ICs, didn't they source more than sink? Or was it an another family, that have PNPs output, only similar to RTL? //Staigen
  4. Hi A TV antenna is not tuned to the FM band, and is not very good for DX-ing at FM! Was the other two amplifiers not good enough for amplifying the signal? It opened nice here, its an article from an australian mag, with an antenna amp. Do you have Acrobat Reader installed? //Staigen
  5. Hi shaiqbashir Do you have this book: Engineering Electromagnetics, sixth edition, by William H.Hayt, Jr. & John A.Buck ? If you have, please upload it! //Staigen
  6. Hi You have to click out "remember password" and remember it by yourself! Did the powercord have plugs in each end? Connect the respective RCA jacks to the soundcard output, there are cords that will fit directly. The mic output on monitor connects to the mic input on the soundcard. The headphone output you connect to a headphone, if you have one, the speakers then usally go out. //Staigen
  7. Hi MrHeckles Try this first! As you see, i have added a resistor, that will draw the switcing action inputs to ground, when the SW1 is open. //Staigen
  8. Hi MrHeckles How much current? Voltage? A little schematic would be nice! //Staigen
  9. Hi saso What do you mean, helping you with the topic "hm" ? ??? ??? ??? //Staigen
  10. Ok, but dont you have some kind of password? Did you replace your cord? Do it have plugs in both ends? //Staigen
  11. Ok, but powercords of this type usally have a plug at the other end too! //Staigen
  12. Hi Ante Oh, was it that you meant, did he have to put the speaker apart to find that error. Of course you look for outside damage first. To Logan: I dont see you at MSN anymoore, where are you? //Staigen
  13. Hi Logan What diagram, did you forgot to attach that? Wich adaptor? The power cord? If the short was in the power cord i dont think the transformer inside the speaker is damaged! Check the power cord, and replace if open or bad! Check for voltage at the transformer, but be careful! Hey, i just got your picture, replace the power cord! //Staigen
  14. Hi babykoh08 What is it you want to do? A PSU without any IC:s, using only transistors? Or one of the 0 to30 Volts PSU:s described here on E-Lab? //Staigen
  15. Hi I where just going to propose Intersil ICL 7216(i belive it is the name for it) IC I am not sure about the name, i have the book in a place where i need daylight to get it, i have a look at it tomorrow. //Staigen
  16. Hi Propotional means that you could move slowly with the car by just press the controls a little bit. If its only zero or full speed backwards and forward it is probably not propotional, and will work just fine here. Use some 1N4001, they are cheap and redily available. And, yes, you should use a diode backwards over the relays. PIV means Peak Inverse Voltage and is the max voltage the diode can stand in reverse. BTW, how is it going with your PSU? //Staigen
  17. Hi Was it a propotional control of the motors? And was it digital? //Staigen
  18. Hi Can you describe your antenna and topography? Isn't the other two good enough? Here are the links: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/rf/003/index.html http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/rf/022/index.html And you got one from SM2GXN Hey SM2GXN, what do you think of using miller integrators as VHF amplifiers? You, if anybody should know about this! //Staigen
  19. Hi again Serge Than i belive you have to supply us with lot more information about the IC! Is it a Texas Instrument brand? ALL TI IC:s beginning with SN72... is linear OP-AMP:s! And i have never seen a 28 pins OP-AMP in my whole life! Is it linear or digital? Also, its for his vifes translator. Translate what? From what? To what? How old is this translator? Is it possible for him to come online and discuss this directly in this forum? It seems that hte more answers we get, the more questions arise. Maybee someone else know more about this IC //Staigen
  20. Hi Logan I dont blame you, and i have to check this out! Here in sweden it is called "Dator" and the translation is computer. And i have seen the "large box" called computer elsewhere too. But i have never, until now, seen it called CPU, because the CPU is the IC inside. So folks, which is what? Maybee we all are right? //Staigen
  21. Hi Ante The spark can have been virtual! She maybee belived she saw a spark. //Staigen
  22. Hi Ante With the speakers closed? ;D ;D ;D //Staigen
  23. Hi Logan That is the computer! If the lecturers tell you that it is the CPU, you can tell them that they are wrong! Then you also have the periferal furniture too, the monitor, the keyboard, the speakers, the mouse, the modem, the webcam and so on. //Staigen
  24. Hey Logan When doing this test, with the screwdriver, also hold your finger at the metal part of the screwdriver, and dont hold in anything else, than your body act as an antenna, and you hear a highpitched hum from the speakers, if they are allright. //Staigen
