  1. HI WIRA! WHAT KIND OF SENSOR DO U REQUIRE? I MEAN WHAT DO U EXPECT THE SENSOR TO DO WHEN SOMETHING TOUCHES IT? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VIBRATION AND TOUCH WITH REGARD TO YOUR PLAN? PLZ TELL IN SOMEWHAT DETAIL PRATEEK
  2. HELLO !!!!!!!!! COME ON !!!! GOOD MORNING PLEASE WAKE UP U ALL!!! HOW COULD YOU RULE OUT PHYSICS AS A REQUIREMENT FOR ELECTRONICS DO U KNOW ONE THING A SIMPLE GOLDEEN RULE WHICH I LEARNT TILL NOW? MATHEMATICIAN+PHYSICIST=SCIENTIST SCIENTIST+ECONOMIST(FOR OPTIMAL COST IMPLEMENTATION)=ENGINEER!!!! ELECTRONICS ENGINEER IS NO EXCEPTION ;) PRATEEK
  3. hi steven! can i have the principle of operation of your hardware circuit? I mean to say how does your circuit identifies say an "and gate ic"? and it accordingly sends 2 high i/ps and senses high at the o/p? prateek
  4. hi all! i have almost generalized that u can clean the inner parts of any electronic device with any volatile compound. Can all of u support me? I have even used perfume to clean my stereo recorder head.any comments? prateek
  5. hi audioguru! all! when we have voltage fluctuation, some of the devices at our place start making a peculiar sound of vibration just like our refrigerators.I read in a device manual that it happens due to higher current because V*I=POWER =CONSTANT.so when voltage reduces current increases. But isnt it in violation of Ohm's law? Please explain the fallacy i am in. ??? prateek
  6. hi chandus! welcome!!! why are u not using a variac for your mains supply? If that is not acceptable u can use a pot in series with your resistor. But i am unable to understand one thing.where are u getting 6.6 V with 220V input? However i guess u dont need a triac or SCR for such a simple application. :D prateek
  7. HI MHz FOR DEVICE RATINGS! always connect a moderately high resistance in series with the device and a low resistance ammeter too in series.U should not use too low resistance or a device with low input resistance(this may load your supply) nor u should connect very high resistance otherwise source wont supply the current at all.So optimal choice is made b/w the too.reply soon about results! ::) prateek
  8. hi vedran! clean the insides of the speaker i.e right from the pot to coil (magnetic) using propanol or ether,it will be alright ;) prateek
  9. hi steven! actually i am looking forward for a combination of hardware and software for IC tester.i.e what i posess is an IC say 7400.and a computer pentium 4 processor. How do i proceed? I can write the software for it myself too but atleast i should know the h/w compatibilities!!any help from anyone? prateek
  10. HI ALL! CAN ANYONE TELL ME A COMPUTER SOFTWARE THROUGH WHICH I CAN TEST AN IC FOR ITS FUNCTIONALITY AND PIN CONFIGURATION? PRATEEK
  11. hi birdbird! what i can make out of it is that your software takes in your sound only and displays it on your screen(the word u spoke)but there would be some channel along which your voice is flowing! may it be a computer port or a peripheral device like a microphone, but i again revert to the same point.u can identify male and female voice only with its frequency and nothing else.Female voice is generally of higher frequency. How are u communicating your voice to computer?and how is it converting to text back? prateek
  12. hi vietvc! try out the following links.Do tell me the results out of them! www.bluetooth.com www.motorola.com/bluetooth www.palowireless.com/infotooth/tutorial.asp www.apple.com.au/bluetooth/ prateek
  13. hi birdbird! your project seems to be interesting but the thing to know is that why is your system responding to a few words only.I saw a similar project on another site(i cannot recall its name),i have seen the same project in a book on artificial intelligence. All sources say that the only factor to distinguish any 2 types of voices is their wavelength. But i am surprised why is your software responding to a few words, can i have the circuit for your project?Actually i wish to see the code(it must be a digital code)for the voice which you are sending through a computer port into your MATLAB platform.Awaiting early reply! prateek
  14. AUDIOGURU! COULD U PLZ TELL ME THE BEST METHOD TO SOLDER A WIRE ONTO A PCB (THE PROCEDURE RECOMMENDED BY YOU I MEAN) PRATEEK
  15. hi audioguru! the breadboard u have shown is exactly the same i have seen here.in this 5 slots in a column are shorted i guess. But in india i have seen boards with one component side and one solder side(not a PCB).But just like a PCB. WE HAVE SMALL SLOTS OF COPPER AROUND ON SOLDER SIDE.THEY CALL IT ZERO PURPOSE OR GENERAL PURPOSE PCB.SOME DEALERS CALL IT BREADBORD TOO!!!! THATS WHY I WAS CONFUSED.... ;) PRATEEK
  16. HI ALL! IS IT ADVISABLE TO CARRY SOLDER METAL ON THE TIP OF HOT IRON AND PLACE IS WHERE REQUIRED(JOINT AREA)? PRATEEK
  17. hi there all! audioguru! i wish to know whether the bread board and so called(commercially) "ZERO PURPOSE PCB" SAME? I FEEL THEY ARE SAME YOUR COMMENTS? PRATEEK
  18. hi dido! did u try out propanol? what were the results.Tell me the gud news that your camera is alright!!!!!!! :D
  19. :) i too became a jr member a few days ago and that too suddenly! i dont know how??? :othough i am happy i am more cared about my knowledge and i guess all should be prateek
  20. hi trigger! is there any difference in the protocols which the buses use? or is it the same.i also wish to know why we connect some devices on parallel port while some on serial port. prateek
  21. hi audioguru! that means its a big complicated chain of transistors which are succesively turned on by LEDs? to increase the signal level current?am i right? prateek
  22. hi audioguru! you rightly said it couples the signals through a beam of light.Actually a phototransistor is switched on.But do you know that why is the transistor not damaged by high current on motor side.(i take the motor computer example u gave) reply soon how could an electronic device like a small signal transistor bear such high current? prateek
  23. hi audioguru! that means optocouplers are basically high current filters(not exactly!) which prevent low rating devices from getting damaged by high current. prateek
  24. hi everybody! actually i wish 2 know the reason behind using so many buses in a computer .why not a single bus for all types of communication.like for example, why to connect printer and digital camera on different buses or ports? plz reply soon prateek
  25. hi mony! i guess you should better use the term modulator if you are willing to multiply 2 coded signals.isnt it?comments from others?Circuit for modulator is easy to get!!! prateek
