hi there! modulation index and deviation are interchangable. if i/p signal varies between 1 and 2 V,to what extent do we vary the frequency is in our hand. hence in our own hand. ;D

deviation depens on the modulation index we chose. ;D
-
high frequency means less wavelength and hence lesser height. ;D

hi friend if that is the case, for what is the shannons theorem? c=bandwidth*log(number of symbols)? ;D
-
yea ! jr. stands for junior member followed by a member, senior member and then electronics-god

hi all! if bit rate is 10 MBps along the line what will be its bandwidth i mean the channel bandwidth. i am confused between the 2 terms.
-
Does a bandwidth of say 10 MHz mean same as 10 MBps? Does 10 Mhz have a meaning as such
-
hi Mee! What kind of modulation are u using for your signal? In case its FM u have to compromise with the range
-
what limits the rate of transmission along a channel?

different btw A/D and digital PWM
prateeksikka replied to ahcheong_ray's topic in Electronics chit chat
A/D is a conversion process which consists of sampling ,quantization and coding while in the end comes a modulation technique like PWM. -
hi audioguru! we still use BJT in most of our analog cards here in india. i personally use a BJT as a better LED driver than FET.But dont know why?
-
But it is always advisable to keep ground at 0 rather than a negative supply!
-
Hi audioguru! can u tell me some points by which BJT is better than an FET? i guess FET has higher i/p impedance but BJT is better in one of the ways like these parameters.

Shannons theorem gives the relation that means a xhannel digital with 20 Mhz bandwidth does not carry meaning

here too they teach in bachelors and in masters too

electrical prerequiste for electronics and electronics for computers! ;D
-
no i mean does it make sense to say that my computer has say "B" Hz of bandwidth?
-
we do it in our engineering bachelors and in masters here in india...
-
even in computers we need vast knowledge of electronics .world is converging dear!!!

hi guys! i just had a technical interview in a job interview. i was asked how will u study at night without using current and a combustible substance at your work place? answer:what about optical fiber cutting?
-
hi audioguru! i carry out the Q point and hence the beta analysis for a transistor only in CE region. cause i use it mostly as my amplifier. for such a case i found the results which i just told.i too believe that a transistor is saturated when VCE is 0 i.e we move towards forward bias from reverse side. Ic is maximum.

hi all! i wish to know what is the demarkation line between electrical and electronics engineering? i.e to decide whether an application is a subject matter of electrical or electronics engineering?
-
hi anita! i recently did an industrial project on embedded systems .actually i used an embedded system for a control application ...basically u must understand that they are nothing but compact, industry specific microcomputers used for control applications. i always liked to play with my C software which i wrote for it and burned into its ROM. u can visit www.advantech.com to see how such systems look like.ofcourse theres large library stuff.

behavior of the transistor to unexpected surge voltages is also important to know when designing
