What does an EMS usually do? :o It would have to all the usual stuff and prevent "flameout" OH on scrapheap challange (UK) junkyard wars (USA) a team built one with a turbo and another with a leaf blower!

I have a design for a bike and a design for a turbofan and last night i worked out how to run duel Turbines. I wonder what the power would be if the system were put in a robin relient? Anyway i posted this because i wondered how on earth could an EMS (Engine Managemant System) be built for this thing?

This is actualy quite easy if you brake it down into the following:- Sensor, processor, motor control, Track. the simplest vresion is as follows the track is a black line on white paper. Black absorbs light and white reflects (simple so far) sensor has two emitters and two sensors mounted a follows - S,E,E,S when switched on the emitters emit light . place "BUG" (device) on white paper. The sensors recive reflected light from the emitters and motors go forward. When bug crosses black line no light is recived in one sensor and the motor on that side stops. This is a very basic description and an example of this is available from valleman.

I was watching a film and one of the charaters remarked that it had twin turbines. This got me thinking, how small could a Gas turbine/turbo fan be built and what would happend if one were straped to a bike? Post your thoughts cus ive got a megger "batman" style bike design.

this has omly just been done in an alpine display car but is it legal? you must have some rear view mirrors by law! on my new head unit (should it ever turn up) all i do is conect the camera's video output to the head units video input very simple.

This is a test of what i did in X-circuit on mandriva LE 2005.

Try "boiling" the battery first (ramming a high current very breafly into it) before dissably. the T2130ct era(486 dx -133mhz) tosh bats have a record of reviving if done properly.

On Mandriva LE 2005 i use x-circuit, it has a scruffy layout but it does do the job. edit cus x-circuit is crap. Scratch that i forgot to read the instructions. Linux RULES, Windows DROOLS !

dont they have comunication ports now? ??? i thought i saw one in a workshop with a communication port :o

I like them but in the uk i can only find vallemen kits. companys that sell them = maplins, cpc, rs, they are very good but for one problem - maplins solder needs a higher temp which often damages the tracks.

are the 2 neg lines feeding devices from atx supplies connected in the psu or are they from different circuits? what would happen if the two neg line we connected to the rong hole e.g 12=-1=-2=5 12=-2=-1=5

sorry for late reply. There called tracker balls (track balls is close enough) why not use a cage baring (as used on bike wheels) and rest the ball on that? post pictures please i would like to see what you have done.
