  1. Also if possible also suggest a scheme for the amplitude of the sinusoid to be around 22 to 28 Volt peak-to-peak. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi, Please could anyone provide a ckt. diagram for a 40 Khz sinusoidal oscillator. A circuit using a IC will also do. OR A circuit using discrete components like transistors etc will also do. In short any 40Khz sinusoidal oscillator design is welcome. Please provide any or as many designs as possible ... all are most welcome. The frequency must be stable.
  3. cant construct a pot ... sorry instead trying to find standard resistor values to satisfy the combination-ratio ... trying hard to find them ... thanks for the help guys
  4. The link given for EAGLE provides a "LITE EDITION" which doesn't allow auto routing. The scale provided in ARES is not valid for actual artwork ... it linked as per CNC ratings
  5. Thanks, will try... have any specific pot for suggestion? Will the pot give required accuracy? I dont think stability would be a factor because after all its the ratio that counts ... temperature coefficients would get cancelled ... hence insensitive to temp. changes?
  6. Please help me with the (schematic) design of reference vtgs. of +2.65V and +3.673V. Accuracy and stability and stability are the most important criterion as they will be fed as analog ref. vtgs to PIC .
  7. gramo, Proteus is great but it ain't free. I had bought the ISIS PROFESSIONAL and ARES suites ..... the simulations are still working but the licence for the ARES has expired.
  8. Thanks for the support. Please could you also suggest a suitable site from where I could download such "newer cad" software-programs. It would be of great help.
  9. Thanks for the suggestion mvs, but pcb123 was a bit tough especially on the "routing" part. Is there a software that can provide facility for auto-routing ? I had downloaded Dip-Trace but it was trial version and is now expired.
  10. Thanks for suggestions and help. Looking forward to implement them.
  11. Hi, Sometimes when I try to access this site it just doesn't open. It gives errors like invalid address or check network status or it just takes eternity to open ..... literally! Why does this happen ??? and this does not happen with anyother site I visit.
  12. What is artwork? (Is it same as PCB designing?) Which is the best freely available software on internet for pcb design / art work? Even a trial version (that'll work for few days) will do ... but it must have sufficient utilities. Also which is easy to learn and use in shortest possible time for a "dummy" , and which one would you suggest for a reeeal scholar ? ::) Please help me in anyway u can ;D
  13. Thanks for your help guys, but a polyswitch aint feasible bcos .... actually it isn't available in the local market and ordering it from net isn't possible. But the idea, you all suggested, of using the rise in current during overload to trigger a ckt. break and again close ckt. after certain delay is great. This I plan to put to use in some way. Soooo...... I am thinking for building something transistorised in nature. You must be knowing the principle of "FOLDBACK CURRENT LIMITING" usually used for overload protection in transistorised regulators. Wellll...... I am thinking whether a similar circuit arrangement is possible over here ????? Right now, we are trying to design something on similar line.... Incase anyone knows where we might get such a circuit readymade .... it would be useful. OR If someone has an experience in building something of similar type they could help us with the ckt. design...... or atleast suggest the components. Any suggestions ????? By the way we are thinking on the right line right ???
  14. What are they? Where do I connect them? The motor has only two wires coming out from it.
  15. Hi, I am using a motor for a particular task. I want the motor to stop if their is heavy obstruction/retardation to its motion so as to protect it from damage. ( By the way I am assuming that it will be damaged if motion is attempted in such case, is that true? or does it just switch off if it receives such heavy obstruction ??? ) The motor is a small DC motor with torque=2kN. It has only two i/p wires across which a potential difference of 5V (or 12V) when applied causes the motor to run, (the polarity of potential deciding direction of motion i.e. clockwise/anticlockwise). [glow=red,2,300]Pleeeeeeease [/glow] do pitch-in your suggestions. THANKS in advance.
  16. Well, I am planning to use an LCD for my project. The datasheet for HD44780 appears ambiguous in context as to how many lines of display does the chip provide ? and how many characters per line ? Sometimes the datasheet refers to the chip (DDRAM) being 40-character long. Whereas at some occasions it is refered to have only 8-characters per line. Please can some one help me on this ? I am attaching the datasheet for ready-reference.
  17. The web page http://gbppr.dyndns.org/PROJ/mil/celljam/ gives you plans for devices to jam the downlink frequencies on various cellular telephone systems.
  18. Hi, everytime i come to this site, before the complete page is loaded a circuit appears as a background image. Anybody knows what the complete ckt. is? Just curious ;D
  19. Hi m-a-r-i-n, I agree with zeppelin, why so complicated. ??? As far as the working is concerned, in the top line, 1st comparator is used to detect the crossing, the schmitt is to eliminate noise-chatter, 2nd comparator acts as a plain inverter to nagate the effect of "inverting scmitt trigger", and the 3rd comparator is just a vtg. follower acting as a buffer. Atleast thats what i've analysed ;) But the whats the purpose of that 4th comparator sitting at the bottom??? I think its quite unnecessary and makes the circuit complicated. But surely u must have had some reason to use it. Care2justify? :-\
  20. Hi, I am planning a project to control (on/off) various home appliances via telephone. I think that telephone line offers 3 different voltages for following conditions: 1-telephone not in use 2-telephone ringing 3-telephone telephone in use (i.e. eg. when receiver is picked) The controlling will take place by the (caller)person dialling requisite number to perform a specific action. How to detect which no. is pressed? 4-Hence the corresponding vtg levels would also be required. 5-Internal hardware circuitary of a telephone would be an added advantage. Please give me the values of above mentioned vtg. levels and link/pic of the telephone ckt. Thanks in advance.
  21. thanks for the wishes, n hearty new year wishes to all from me too :) ---Aniruddha
  22. Thanks a lot guys it really helped thks audioguru , i did search google but getting an accurate answer on google when a question is too specific is a bit difficult. thks nura, sharing your experience surely seems to have saved me from getting into trouble at college for trying this out ;) thks Zeppelin, the uogoelph site is really good and has lots of other useful topics too. :) thks MP , i m looking forward to try those tempting experiments. They really appear to be exciting , the practical details mentioned in it are truly very very helpful for an amateur like me. ;D
  23. But what if a low frequency (eg. 0.5 hz) a.c. vtg is present across it with a negative d.c. shift (less than the amplitude of a.c.) ? say it gets charged during the positive part and discharged during negative but as duration of -ve will be more after getting completely discharged then what? will it act as open ckt? or closed switch similar to diode? i tried simulating but there it charged it in both directions which is obviously not possible.
