  1. yep your right, we use PowerLine Technology giving two way communication with the meter, (ideal for turning off non-payment consumers as the meter comes with an internal relay) it also eradicates the need for meter readers!
Also the Smart meter has a remote battery powered readout which the consumer can place on a well etc and monitor their KWh usage.
Other suppliers have opted for Blue tooth and RF smart meters where some unfortunate guy spends all day driving round automatically uploading the meter readings.
Big problem we have found is the loss of monthly KWh consumption when the "guaranteed for life" meters brake!!!

The technology and features vary from country to country.
  2. Making a simple and inefficient HHO bubble generator and a 250V @ 1.5A are completely different things.

We were told by Radio Shack to just build a simple circuit with a Diode Bridge and Capacitor but they don't have a clue what actual parts we need and we are not electronics-smart either.

    1. Getting advice about electronics from Radio Shack is like trying to learn French Cooking from McDonald's.

    2. Not electronics smart & lethal voltages are a bad combination.
  3. The Day the Dopes Came Over
    by Steve Martin

I was sitting at home, minding my own business, when my doorbell rang. "Who's there?" I shouted. "We don't know," came the reply. I immediately knew the dopes had come over.

I opened the door and invited them in. I was happy to have company even if they were a bunch of dopes.

"Well, what brings you over this way?" I queried.

    "Yup," they said.

"Would you like some coffee?" I asked.

"Gol," said one dope, "how long have we been here?"

    "About two minutes."

"Gol, we should have left hours ago!" And they packed up some of my things and lumbered out.

    "Goodbye, Dopes!" I shouted.

They turned to me and shouted back, "Goodbye, you big f$&@^&* idiot!"
