what do I need to put between 2 seperate power supplies so that if a short circuit is created on one the other wont go down with it ?

Hi , Im building a digital trainer with a dual power supply , how can I eliminate both power sources from going down when a short is created ? i need one to keep a voice circuit active . ::)
