  1. Hi Audioguru, This is an example of a 16,5cm car speaker (the same shop which i've bought my speakers from). As you said "A speaker might be able to handle 100W for only a few milli-seconds, ... " so in this case, this speaker might be able to handle 200W for a few milli sec. ? General specifications Top power, IEC 268-5 (W) 220 Max. power in, IEC 268-5 (W) 200 Power out, IEC 268-5 (W) 45 Frequency(Hz) 50 - 20 000 Sensitivity (dB/W/m) 90 Thanks for being patient to answer my boring questions ;D
  2. Hi SM2GXN & Audioguru, I actually measured it by "Sound level meter"

    85dB

Hi friends, Can someone help me with some calculations please. A speaker has 85dB, how much is its effect in watt? Thanks
  4. Hi, A CD Drive needs +5V, GND & +12V to work. The pin which is marked +12V, how much tolerates it (max voltage)? I've tried with +14.4V, it works normally... Thanks
  5. Hi, A speaker marked with 80W RMS. What does RMS (Root Mean Square) means here? Thanks
  6. Hi, I thought it would not work at 14,4V, but i tried in the car and it really worked ;D. It gives 8W to 10W. It's not much for a bass box but it does well ;D. Best wishes
  7. Hi Mr. Audioguru, I've built the amp and it sounds pretty good ;D. First i would use it in the car but the voltage was not enough, it needs at least 15V :(. So i should use it for another application, maybe DVD player or something else ... Best Regards
  8. Hi SM2GXN, That was exactly what i wanted. Thank you so much ;D Best regards
  9. Hi everybody, Please can you help me guys if this amplifier can be bridged? This is its datasheet: http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/datasheets_pdf/T/D/A/1/TDA1521Q.shtml
  10. Hi audioguru and everybody, Should i connenct pin 8 and pin 6 to Vp as i drew? and what is pin 12? ??? where should it be connencted? Thanks
  11. Hi audioguru, Do you mean i will connect like this: ;D (isn't it short? ???)
  12. okay. I have another question, can i use two power amplifiers and only one preamp. as you know Audioguru i've built a complete audio amp (preamp and power amp). these circuits i used below: Preamp: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/audio/039/index.html Power amp: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/audio/006/index.html and i want to add this amp, (can i take signals from the output of the preamp, i mean one preamp to two power amps)? ??? this is the another amp: http://www.ortodoxism.ro/datasheets/nationalsemiconductor/DS005129.PDF thanks
  13. Hi Audiogu, The bass box has one speaker of 6 ohms (60W i think) its not so powerful but its enough for me ;D. I think 60W-100W amp will do well. There is a low-pass filter into the box so i think i need only a power amp, right?
  14. Hi guys :) I want to make an amplifier for the bass box in my car (eg 100W). Can you recommend one of the circuits here, or you may have another one in another place ;D Thanx
  15. Hi, How can I see if this effect transistor 2SK2605 works normally? should i test it just like the other transistors? you know a transistor has B C E , the 2SK2605 has Gate Drain Source. Help ;D
  16. Okay, I thank you again Audioguru for the support and I might ask many many times again in the future ;D. I'll do what you recommended and i'm sure it will work better because i trust you :). I also wanna thank Staigen & Alun ;D Best wishes, Mukhalled
  17. Thanks, Audioguru (my teacher ;D) for the clear explanation. So my amplifier is overloaded now :-\, what can i do to not overload it (to make the impedance suitable, in other words 4ohms)? But the problem is that I'm a little bit stubborn ;D, I wanna keep those five speakers ( 2 tweeters, 2 3-way speakers and 1 sub-woofer). ??? I need your help *Are you electronics engineer sir?
  18. Can't I measure impedance with ohmeter? ( with ohmeter I meant true RMS) isn't it the same thing? i may chose wrong word
  19. hi, I had already seen the lables of the speakers and calculated the impedance of them. The tweeters 8ohms each, 3-way speakers 4ohms each and the woofer 6ohms. if we calculate the one side without the woofer it will be 2,67ohms impedance, but the woofer is connected to both sides so how shall I do?
  20. Hi Audioguru, I didn't add 4ohms, it was just the ohmmeter which showed 4ohms.
