  1. I've tried the toner transfer method 5 times now, 2 times, on regular paper, 2 times on tracing paper & once on photo paper & everytime the results are the same, half the toner stuck on the board, half on the paper. I put the image on the pcb & secure it in place with masking tape, both sides, since my design uses a 2 sided pcb. press down on an iron, tried high & lower heat settings. Put it in water & let sit, tried letting the board cool down on the photo paper & tried hot board straight into water with the other paper attempts. There is obviously something I'm doing wrong. Can anyone please help me with this?? ??? It's driving me insane. :'( Joe

  6. I was looking over the articals area, particuarly this one http://www.electronics-lab.com/articles/etching/index_en.htm and noticed that some areas of the auto translated from greek to english areas are not understandable such as this part... Turn on the UV box lamps because need roughly 5 thinly in order to they reach in their biggest brightness. Thus you do not use UV box front pass 5 thinly since they turn on lamps. Be not extinguished lamps afterwards the appearance pcb if you are to present above, because lamps steams of mercury it should freeze in order to they turn on again. Extinguish since you have finished all the process of report. ??? I have no idea what in the H E Double Hocky Stick that even means, nor could I make heads or tails out of it. May want to concider rewriting them so people can under stand them. Cause it confused the crap outta me. :-\ ??? Joe
  7. 2 questions about the photo process. 1) Do I need to make a negative of my designs or will the regular posative print out work? 2) If I'd print my designs out on transparancy film, can I save that & reuse that same sheet? Thanks. Joe
  8. GREAT, thanks guys!, this is the perfict topic I've been needing. I'm getting ready to make my own pcb's, just waiting for my new toner cartrages to arrive by mail. Is there any tips/tricks that might help? I tried the toner transfer method via photo paper, but I either didn't leave the paper in the soap & water enough, wasn't at a specific temp or the paper was water resistant, I left it in for about 40 min I think & the paper wasn't desolving like it was suppose to. I'm guessing the photo method doesn't care if it's Inkjet or Toner? Joe
