  1. I live in Denmark so 230 VAC is the default here. :) I bought a Emtech Power (http://www.emtech.dk/Mini-UPS75W.htm) it gives me some of the functions i need, but not all. But it can bring my project into the next fase. But if some one have some clue on how to add a solar panel charger to this one i would like to hear from you. /Jens
  2. Hi Guys. I need some help. I need to know if this is possible and if it is how to make it. Or if a product likes this is on the marked somewhere? The solution is some kind of UPS power board that can control and monitor the charging of 2, 12VDC batteries. It must use the power from 230VAC power input by default and if power fails switch to battery 1. Then power on battery 1 is to lower to power the system it must switch to battery 2. The solutions works like at UPS with 2 batteries that it can switch between. Then the system use battery 2 and battery 1 is low it must start at recharge from the Solar panel power. Of course if the 230 VAC comes back it must switch to this power source in the charge and system power. If the batteries needs to be of some other volt that's okay as long as it is a standard battery that is physical small. Information on the system. Inputs: Input 1, 230VAC Input 2, 12VDC Solar panel. PSU: Some PSU that can supply the system with the power it needs from the 230 VAC input. Outputs: Output 1, 12VDC (the equipment on this output uses 500mA) Output 2, 1 RJ45 PoE with up to 15 Watts power (IEEE 802.3af PoE) Battery: 2 X 12 VDC Lead battery (Total power time then both fully charged must be around 5 Hours) I/O ports: Battery 1 power level status I/O port Battery 2 power level status I/O port 230 VAC input power level status I/O port Solar panel input power level status I/O port The system that receive the IO are a: http://www.sierrawireless.com/productsandservices/AirLink/In-Vehicle_Platforms/AirLink_PinPoint_X.aspx Hope that some guru can help me. If you need some more information on some of the parts, then please contact me. / Jens
