  1. Hi Guys, I'm wondering if you can point me in the right direction as what MCU's and transceivers to use as i'm quite new this working with PIC's.. I need to create wireless controller that will be battery powered to link to a mains powered receiver, the controller will have up 12 momentary buttons and up to 12 status LED's (one for each button) There will only be a few meters between the TX and RX.. i need the status LED's (on the remote) to be controllable from the receiver and i need to be able to switch 12 relays from the receiver so i'm thinking IO expanders? (I've never used one) Any pointers greatly appreciated. I'd like to code it in C.. Dean.
  2. Need to make a glow plug timer for a customer who keeps burning his glow plugs out on an 1970's land rover. I know I could use a PIC to switch a transistor and in turn a relay and be done with it but i know there will be a much simpler way. Would this work? It needs to power on the relay for around 10 seconds then go off and it must not activate again until power is removed and re-applied (the igntion key turned off and then on again) Thanks guys.. Dean.
  3. http://www.simplecircuitdiagram.com/2009/05/04/motor-speed-control-using-pwm/ Could this circuit be used to control 100v DC by upgrading the MOSFET to say the IRF540N? D.
  4. Is there a higher voltage equivalent of the LM317 that I could use as a speed controller? Dean.
  5. Something like this the attached?
  6. Hi Guys, I am trying to come up with an adjustable DC power supply from 90v down to 40v with a constant duty of 3A, i was looking at transformers on eBay and I saw a new laptop PSU for
