I tried three different dvd movies that worked on my home use dvd player. It still doesnt work. Any idea on where i can get this laser detecter?

I AM RECEIVING A (NO DISC) MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN WHEN THERE IS A DVD ALREADY IN IT. ANY KIND OF INFO WOULD BE GREAT- I HAVE TO MEET A DEADLINE WHICH IS TONIGHT. THANKS MUCH

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a portable dvd player and bumped into a hurdle. While there is a dvd in the unit, once I power the unit on, it displays that there is no disc. This seems like a sensor problem (photo-sensor) but I am not sure for I have not had that much successful experiences in optics and cd-players. cheers, Dennis

Hi everyone, I have an old 1979 Lafayette stereo receiver that just recently suffered from the results of a lightning power outage. My problem is that i can hear sound very little when I have the volume to its maximum setting. Could this be a Transistor problem, Op-amp or something else? regards, Den
