  1. Hi prateeksikka Nearly correct but consider what happens when an inductance suddenly loses its current ;D Best of Luck Ed
  2. Hi MP Couldn't agree more, one of the more pleasant aspects of this community is the relative lack of FLAMERS and the helpful attitude of most of the people involved. Whilst English is the common language here, it should be remembered that not everyone has it as a first language or that they have years of computer experience behind them. Best of Luck Ed
  3. Alun Thanks, just pointing him in the right direction Ed
  4. Hi ebena as a starter, remember that a square wave can be constructed from an infinite number of sine waves, therefore in theory a suitably narrow band filter will be *all* that is necessary Best of Luck Ed
  5. Hi Jade There is a wealth of information available on the web about PIC's... The first place to look for information on a specific PIC is Microchips website http://www.microchip.com If you are a beginner with PIC's then here is an place to start http://o.webring.com/hub?ring=picmicro Perhaps you could be more specific about the explanations you require Best of Luck Ed
  6. Hi again Or alternatively, you could use a series of flip-flops with common clock/clear and Q output taken to D input of next flip-flop Best of Luck Ed
  7. Hi Shahriar Looks like an ideal and simple job for a PIC - perhaps 16F84?, Port A 8 bits, Port B 5 bits. Best of Luck Ed
  8. Hi The two pictures don't show up, can you repost Ed
  9. Hi birdbird, can I suggest a very good starting point for you, which is to read a book call "Who is Fourier?" (ISBN 0-9643504-0-8) which is an introduction to Fourier transforms but more importantly builds up to an understanding of the subject based on the differences between sounds. Best of Luck Ed
