  1. Hello! Does some one know why the supply pins in digital IC's are at corner while most OP-amps have them isomewhere in middle of the chip. Is it only due to mechanical construction? Regards!
  2. Hello CPW! My words: Its tooooooo complicated ;D CPW have you considered this idea! If you can go with RF then use the directional antennas in trilateral configuration. The antennas should receive signal from the car and each should try to track it. Hence from the angle positions of the three you can find the distance/position.

  6. Salam Fasih How are you! It seems you have 1to4 mx. I don't know what is your exact need as you havn't told one. Where you are using it. However a 2 bit binary counter connected to select inputs should work. counter have to have a pulse from 555. Flip flops can also be configured as counters. Also I told you about CD4017 which has built in counter+mux. Regards
  7. Aslam O Alaikum Fasieh For avery simple demo you can use cd4017 decade counter IC with 555. Also google, you will find many.
  8. Hello! In PLC the power a high pass filter blocks the high voltage at 50/60 Hz. Normaly 60KHz to 250KHz is the band used for comm. Either AM or FM modulation is used to shift the spectrum. Also have a look on LM565 and LM567 IC datasheets.

  11. Hello Dear All! I want to know diff b/w an electrate & cond mike. As I replaced elctrate mike in an FM Transmitter Kit with cond, it didn't work. Electrate mike was fulfilling the job successfully earlier. Also which one is more sensetive (If they are diff things)?

  13. Soes impractical means immpossible? One more question. In an LC tank often a transfo is used as inductor(antenna on other side). Does this transfo has some rigid inductance or it depends upon the load impedence?
  14. Why not people use bridge circuit to drive the o/p transformer, so that a centre tapped transformer can be avoided. I am interested in technical reasoning.

  20. Hello AU, Luckily I had oppertutinity to play with 1KVA trafo at my college. I can remeber the load test where we dropped upto near 50% voltage.

  24. Hello nutty boy! Here goes an experiment to measure max output current. 1. Measure o/p voltage or trafo as V1. 2. Put a high wattage low value variable resistance (better use Rheostat) with max resistance. 3. Decrease load resistence untill you get half of V1 (i.e. V1/2) 4. Take rheostat/load out from circuit and measure its resistance, R1 5. V1/R1 is the max current u can have from this trafo. O.K.
