556 IC tester

These are broken into 2 sections, one 556 tester will test the first 555ic timer within that 556 timer ic, plug it in push the button and the 2 leds will alternate telling you that the first 555ic timer within the 556 timer chip is working ok. plug the 556 into the second 556 ic tester, push the button, the 2 leds will alternate telling you that the second 555ic timer within the 556 timer chip is working ok

555 IC tester

This 555 tester ,which can allso test the 7555 is realy handy, especially if you need to know if the timeres are working after you exstract, the timers from electronic junk, and for use in ignition coil and flyback driver circiuts by adding a push button and using an ic socket, just plug it in and push the button to test, the 2 leds will alternate to indicate the timer is working ok

When did this become a forum where someone gets kicked around because they post a schematic which is a useful tool to them? You should applaud him for sharing. If you have helpful comments, that would be different. If you want to make fun of someone go to a different forum to do so.
Hopefully, he will be willing to share his other tools, be it an octal latch tester or whatever.

There are a lot of hobbyists out there who remove the parts they use from "electronic junk". The down side of this is to know the parts still work before using them. Knowledge should not have a price and this is a way to keep the knowledge free.
If you would like to share a better design for doing so, then please post it.

Concerning this circuit I have the same thoughts as for the op-amp tester!
