MP
Here you go Rhonn. It is in the zip file. This is the binary file, but you can make it a hex file if you need. I no longer have the wiring diagram. I hope you have it.MPmodchip.zip

MP
I am not sure. I have not seen that error. Did you use the address in the txt file? That was the only problem that I had when burning the chip. I had to set the program address.MP
Guest Kasamiko
Hi MP.. Thanks for your patience.. ;) Since this is my first time to messes with PIC I think it's a looooong way for me to go.. 8)Please also tell me how can I convert that BIN file to HEX format. If I have not mistaken the OSCAL value is stored in the HEX file..Thanks again..Rhonn ;) ;)
MP
Rhonn, I do not recall having to convert to hex to program the chip. I think the universal programmer that I used took care of this. It has been some time since I got this file, so I really do not remember. You can get a bin2hex converter program here:http://www.keil.com/download/docs/bin2hex.zip.aspBest of luck. I did not mean to make this a difficult task for you.MP
Guest Kasamiko
You're right MP.. My software can take it too. (IC-Prog) I just don't noticed it the oscal value is stored in the chip at address 3FF..And by the way you're not causing any trouble..YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT HELP TO ALL OF US HERE!! ;DBest Regards..Rhonn ;) ;)
Kain
This is a little off topic but I was considering modding few PS 2 and other consoles myself. I wonder how high is the actual risk to permanently mess up the console hardware with this modification in case something goes wrong with the programming? Ani ideas? Dazza
Hi :)Kasamiko, was your PlayStation Mod Chip installation a success? There seems to be a few different types of Mod Chips that you can install into a PS 1, do you have the wiring diagram for this particular Mod Chip. Regards Dazza.
