Hi MP.. Thanks for your patience.. ;) Since this is my first time to messes with PIC I think it's a looooong way for me to go.. 8)
Please also tell me how can I convert that BIN file to HEX format.
If I have not mistaken the OSCAL value is stored in the HEX file..

Rhonn, I do not recall having to convert to hex to program the chip. I think the universal programmer that I used took care of this. It has been some time since I got this file, so I really do not remember.
You can get a bin2hex converter program here:

You're right MP.. My software can take it too. (IC-Prog) I just don't noticed it the oscal value is stored in the chip at address 3FF..
And by the way you're not causing any trouble..YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT HELP TO ALL OF US HERE!! ;D

This is a little off topic but I was considering modding few PS 2 and other consoles myself. I wonder how high is the actual risk to permanently mess up the console hardware with this modification in case something goes wrong with the programming? Ani ideas?
