Hi..currently im doing my final yr
project on "single phase controlled rectifier(scr) for DC motor"...im
having problem in designing the scr triggering circuit..my objective is
to provide variable dc voltage so that i'd control the speed of motor..
im stuck already...my presentation would be on coming Sept.. at least i
must manage to submit the simulation result of the said circuit to my
lecture.. im helpless now.. would appreciate ur help if you could give
me any sample circuits..plz help me!!!

rgds,

Your motor will have DC voltage so what is the phase? Phase involves two signals. Are you creating a PWM circuit? Does your motor have multiple windings? An SCR will require a means to turn it off which means you will have to have the voltage required for anode current interuption. If you are dealing with a small voltage then that won't be too difficult.
