tweak232
Wow, I found that very helpfull and interesting, it gave me some insight on surface mount sodering, especially with the toaster oven. Does anyone know if the stuff re-liquifies if it is put back in an oven, ex- resodering?
Guest Yevgenip
I am not sure, but I think it does'nt because the oven is not hot enough. You can always try using soldering-glue.
Kevin Weddle
Use just enough solder to make a dropplet effect. Use more solder as opposed to less. Use a flux and a hot iron. This get me by. Some say that too much solder creates parasitic inductance and it's true. It makes for a great filtering but of course that is just what the ear hears. heathtech
Can anybody help me using standard soldering iron to soldering and desoldering tiny component like in the cellular phone, and is there any what should do and don't with soldering (the electrostatic issue)? The Weller model#WES51 iron that I use is ESD safe. It is reasonably priced but not cheap, and I use it all the time with no ESD issues.
