LEDMAN
::) I found a circuit on-line for an infra red switch by Andy Collison that calls for a CQX35A LED. Can you tell me the manufacturer of this LED or an equivalent?
hotwaterwizard
Tuff one I found others in the series but not that one.CQX48.pdf
hotwaterwizard
Your name does not do you justice.I found the same project in 3 locations in my search for the Datasheet. Finally after hours of searching I read the Circuit Operation Details.Circuit Operation:IC1 is an Infra Red module. IR modulated pulses are received and buffered by this IC. It has a standard TTL output, the output with no signal is logic 1. One gate of a CMOS inverter and drives Red LED1 as a visible switching aid. Another gate buffers the signal and applies it to the time constant circuit, comprising R3,C2,R4 and D1. C2 charges via R3, and discharges via R4, D1 prevents quick discharge via the low output impedance of the CMOS buffer. I then realized the LED you seek is just a Visual Aide not anything special. A standard LED will do the job just fine. Here are my search Results.CQX35ACQX35A = TLHR5100LTL4208=CQX35A LITEON 5Piehttp://www.zen22142.zen.co.uk/Circuits/Interface/ir_switch.htmhttp://www.mitedu.freeserve.co.uk/Circuits/Interface/ir_switch.htmhttp://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/models/008/index.htmlTLHR5100 VISHAY/TE LTL4208general purpose visible dome-style led LITEONLTL-4208-TN002general purpose visible dome-style led LITEON
