rounding off sq. roots

Well Suraj, I'm just happy that my friend will now no longer be able to back me into corner in this one area of discussion. Although, it only does so in a round about way, the link to the psuedoscience page you posted most defineately confirms my theory. With the information I have now acquired, I'll be ready to put it to her straight the next time my friend wishes to square off with me on the subject.

The length of the arc is a neverending fraction because as you try to measure it's length using a series of straight lines, you always have a bow no matter how many straight segments you use. The sheer number of straight segments that you must use to get the length is neverending. The more segments you use, the closer you come to the length of the arc.
