mphotis
Can anyone please tell me how to bias an lm35 temperature sensor to work in the range of -10 to +50 celsius? Thanx
audioguru
Hi Mphotis,The circuit is on the 1st page of its datasheet. http://www.national.com/ds.cgi/LM/LM35.pdfIf you need a different output voltage range or offset voltage, use an opamp on its output. ;D
mphotis
okay, thanx but now im working with a 5volt rail, how am i gonna get a -5V for -Vs? im sorry, im pretty bad at this.
audioguru
Hi Mphotis,Connect it like this. Do you have a differential input to feed its outputs to?
MP
You do not need a negative supply. All you need to do is float the ground pin on the temperature chip. Connect a couple of 1N914 diodes between the LM35 ground pin and ground. Then
