alkv23
Hi guy im alkv23 from malaysia. Im very new on electronic line. I need some advice about current converter. How to converted 24Vdc to 19Vdc. Please show me or teach me. Thanks.
Miles Prower
I need some advice about current converter. How to converted 24Vdc to 19Vdc.A series pass regulator will get the job done. There are lots of variations on the theme. Here is an example.
Guest Alun
here's the circuit you require, and the data sheet for the LM317.http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/LM/LM317.pdf
Miles Prower
Just like I stated: lots of possible implementations. ;D

hany
please can you explaine how this circuit convert current ???
Guest Alun
Hi hanny, alkv23 got the terms "current" and "voltage" mixed up. He said he wanted a current converter to convert 24V to 12V, he really meant a voltage converter.
hany
thanks alunbut you say "current converter" and then say convert 24 voltto 12 volt . it should be"volt converter"or what????? ???
Guest Alun
Yes or the correct term for this circuit is a voltage regulator. In this case it's a linear regulator since the drop in voltage wastes power and produces heat. There are switching regulatora that drop the voltage and increase the availible current and these are more efficent.
