audioguru Posted September 11, 2005 Report Share Posted September 11, 2005 I compared your project to a car starter motor because they both use high current at low voltage. The wires on a car's starter motor are quite large. Your wires must have about 300 times the cross-sectional area. Bigger than train tracks, I guess.Speaking about trains, A diesel-electric locomotive uses a lot of current and its voltage is controlled I think with PWM.
