jchkramer
Hello all, I am new to this forum, and have just found a schematic for the amplifier I have picked up. The problem is that the amplifier is completely dissasembled, it was taken out of a fire/restoration/demolition, and cleaned by a fellow I work with, then he lost interest/forgot how to put it back together, and here I am. It is a Peavey PV 8.5C 1100 watt amp, which is a nice unit and the electronics seem to be undamaged, so I am hopeful that it will sork when put back together. The case is unburnt, all plastic is fine etc. What I need to know is the leads coming out of the transformer, which colour wires are what voltage? If anyone could give me the info, or better yet, is someone owns this amplifier and could take a photo of the inside from a number of angles, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance.Ps. this site is great! MP
Since you have the schematic, you should be able to answer this question better than someone who has the same model amp. Most likely they are not going to have a clue about the color code of the internal wires. Post the schematic or the part in question so that someone can see what you are asking about. At the very least, you might get instructions of how to accomplish this task.MP
