simulating circuits with ICs in orcad

hi everyone
                  i usually simulate my circuits in orcad capture.but there are times when i have to use ICs in them too e.gTL 494 in a switch powersupply.i cant find most ICs in the libraries given.can someone help me out here.if they are there then in which libraries should i look for them?

also sometimes u also want to put somthing programmable in ur circuit  like a microcontroller.is it possible to simulate such circuits in pspce?

well! you should use the PSPICE libraries for simulating circuits in OrCAD. but i have checked myslef there is no TL494 IC present in them.

Remember that OrCAD libraries doesnot have a nice collection of ICs and transistors. It is not recommended at all to use this software for simulation.

well my dear ! this is the reason why i told you to stop using OrCAd  for simulation purposes. OrCAD doesnot provide you updates regarding PSPICE libraries. You can check their website as well!

if you find anything tell me abt that.

Try using PCAD, that is professional as well as it supports update of libraries as well. ( i think so)

but i have found tl494 in orcad in controller.olb.but i m unable to simulate it properly.i dont know wat i m doing wrong and i really need help.i disabled one error amplifier and am usin only one.but the out transistors donnot turn on at any stage
giving me a constant Vcc output.
