This is designed so I can push the tiny probe into a crimp and if there is voltage the LED will light.When stimulating the 50V in the Lab this works (It works when I use a Teknikit Console to produce 50V,), but have now discovered that when I put the earth lead to an actual earth does not work. Tedyp Posted March 29, 2006 Report Share Posted March 29, 2006 Usually, at most (99.9) of the telephone exchanges, the earth (ground) is +.If you try to measure between 2 points with the same potential - the led won't glow.
