Making a 4gb memory stick

i pulled this from a ipod because it stoped working(i think the battery died). i was wondering is there a way to turn it into a memory drive (like a usb drive) and if so wats the cheapest way to make it.. thank you, any infomation will be appreciated

As far as I know all memory sticks have a micro on them to control the read write of the memory. It also has ID info to tell the PC what it is. So I guess the answer would be yes, if you know how to write the code and interface it.
