about 20 years ago I discovered when working at a company which repaired car radios that there was one chip which worked off 5volts. The secret is to look up the No of the chip on the net and find the reset pin.
DONT put this to 0v or 5v or certainly not 12v this does not work, simply put 100hz square wave at 5v with a capacitor of 10nF on the positive pin on the reset for a few seconds and then switch off the radio when you switch back on the code should be 0000.
I believe nothing has changed for the philips or blaupunkt radios so it should work after a few tries.
otherwise replace the whole chip with one which you know ther code of.
good luck.
