May I know how do I find its IC socket because I can't find this IC socket and just modify a 18 pin IC socket. It is not so good because it is easy short circuit if modify with this way. Sukhbinder Posted July 9, 2006 Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 the ic is meant to be soldered on a PCB and not mounted on using a socket. if u are dealing with high currents use a good heatsink with it. this ic is a stepper motor driver ic or in simple ways a power device.
