slackjack Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Hey all,I'm curious. How can ohms law be dervied. The only way I can do it is by experiments. How do we arrive at V = IR without any experiments. Thats all ;D--thank you. Quote
wvengineer Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 I hope this might helphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohm's_lawLooking at the Physics part reminds me of the Emag class I had to take....a chill just ran up my spine ;D Quote
prateeksikka Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 indeed u can derive ohms law.it comes basically from charge carriers and mobility definition.mobility =speed/Electric field..speed =distance /time and field = Electric field / distance hence derived .name the constant as R moreover ur definition of law is not correct.it does not say V=IR but indeed it says V / I =Constant .... shaiqbashir Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 HI prateek!thanks for the explaination but there is something confusing in ur explaination.U said that field=electric field/distancewhat is the difference between Field and Electric Field??and then how can u derive the constant R from the above stated three formulae??please explain it again and this time in some more detail.thanks in advance!take carez!
