My hard drive is full of handling articles of Lithium rechargable batteries but I haven't selected the best article.
I downloaded the good Ni-Cad and Ni-MH Applications Manuals from Energizer which are attached.
The most important thing to increase their life is to not overcharge them.

so what if i leave them uncharged for long time??

A lead-acid battery will get its plates sulphated and not work anymore. It must never be completely discharged.

A Lithium battery will also be destroyed. It must never be completely discharged. I have some that haven't been used or charged for about 8 years and they still measure 3.8V.

A Ni-Cad or Ni-MH cell is fine as long as it doesn't have a load. They self-discharge, some are dead in 3 months, others are dead in 2 years. But then they can be re-charged like new.
