audioguru Posted October 4, 2006 Report Share Posted October 4, 2006 Hi Metro,The original Miniature FM Transmitter circuit that you posted looks like the one that somebody said didn't work with a new battery and didn't work when its battery is a little used because its audio transistor is incorrectly biased. I made it and fixed it and made it better until it became my Mod4 FM Transmitter.You removed the very important 4.7pF capacitor which provides the positive feedback for its RF oscillator, and you removed the important capacitor at the base of the RF oscillator transistor that allows it to work as a common base stage.The output transistor you added won't do anything except waste battery power.
