4 watt fm transmitter

It isn't a good circuit since its RF frequency drifts.
It will sound lousy since it doesn't have pre-emphasis (treble boost) like radio stations.
It isn't stereo.
Its high output power is illegal so maybe nobody made it.

The Micromitter FM transmitter project and kit is much better:

thanks audioguru for ur reply there is no problems of legal issues here because

i hold a license for fm transmission upto 50 watts.

the links u provided were good but the power output was really less and so the range

plz give ur comments on this one-

1.what is ayxnia?

2.807 is quite inefficient(20-25w heat dissipation) suggest a better one.

Brother i want to make fm transmiter but at this time i m collecting very intial material about.i have a very short and simple  circuit but the circuits on net are different from it.The basic problem i m facing is of its theory.i m loking forward to make some other projects as well u can help me.if u need that circuit i can post it to u.

Does this circuit really work or not ? I thought I could build it but is it worth it i would be happy with two or three watts if it just works. I have experience about building electronic circuits but i cant say if this works or not can you?

I found some other possible -and what they said- better transistors at other forum and i was wondering you-audioguru- could tell me if they work better than the original ones?
The transistors are for T!:
2n2222,2n2222a,2n2219,2n2219a,bsx20 or 2n3904
T2:
2n4427,2n3866,2n3924,2n3553

Hi Frobnic,
Welcome to our forum. ;D
We have two "4W FM Transmitter" projects. Which one?

I think it is the simple one with only 2 transistors. I don't think its output will be 4W unless you use a 16V supply and the output transistor gets extremely hot. The oscillator transistor will also get hot.

It is a very simple old circuit:
1) It doesn't have the crystal of modern FM transmitters so its frequency will drift.
2) It doesn't have pre-emphasis (treble boost like FM radio stations have) so it will be heard on an FM radio without treble audio frequencies, like your stereo with its treble control turned all the way down.
3) It is mono, not stereo.

Transistors are all different, even if they have the same part number. Try a few.
Is it this project?
