Body Resistance help

Korslain

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I'm a beginner at electronics. I wanted to see what my body resistance would be, by first putting the 2 test leads of the ohmmeter on one hand. If I put one lead on my right hand, and one on my left, it should have a higher resistance reading than having the 2 test leads on just one hand, because the current would pass from one hand to the other.

When I did this, both tests had the about the same resistance readings, y would it be the same?

Hi Korslain,
Welcome to Electronics-Lab!
There are quite a few factors involved in this. Here is a portion of an ohm's law tutorial that goes a little into depth about body resistance:

Hope this helps. Also note that there are books written about this very subject. Much research has been done in this area.
