Help with LCD screen

Hey,

I salvaged some LCD screens from some old cordless phones. I'd like to play around driving it with a microprocessor, but i can't work out how to access the wires inside that plastic ribbon. Is there a kind of clamp or suchlike which does this?

As far as i can tell the lines in the ribbon are ~0.5mm apart.

Yes, there is a connector for this but you obviously forgot to cannibalize it from the phone when you ripped out the screen!  ;)

Sweet, thanks mate. Fortunately i didn't pull them all apart, and have found the clip you're talking about in another one.

Now i face the tssop to dip problem again. Maybe i'll get away with etching my own pcbs rather than paying the high prices for adapters.
